A truck from “Shred It” will be here in our parking lot to help us rid ourselves
from our unwanted, security sensitive documents.
Here is a length of time guideline for records you need to retain:
IRS documents – 3 years
State documents – 4 years
Payroll documents – 7 years
Most other documents – 5 years
Everything else, bring it here and “Shred it”!
You will be able to watch your shredding as it happens. Shredding can be done by the box or trash bag. Boxes
shall be no larger than a banker’s box or a box of copy paper. We are requesting no more than 10 boxes per
client.
NOTE: Please make sure there are no three ring binders or large metal objects. Acceptable items include:
Staples, clips, paper clips, binder clips, file folders and hanging folders.
